Structure and Criteria

Stipends may be awarded to a single faculty member or two or more full or part-time faculty members, each teaching unique sections of one or more courses, to collaborate curriculum redesign.

A total of 12 stipends will be awarded at $2,000, per proposal, to support faculty in transitioning to OER course materials available at no-cost or low-cost to students. While individuals can be involved in more than one applying team, they may not be listed as the Project Leader in more than one proposal, nor may they be the Project Leader on more than one proposal simultaneously.

  • Impact on educational equity and outcomes in traditionally underserved communities
  • Preference for collaborative efforts with broad impact
  • Commitment to adopt course material for a course scheduled for no later than Spring 2026
  • Good faith commitment to continue offering the course materials to students at no-cost or low-cost for the first three years the adopted material is used
  • Agreement to the terms of the Open@WRLC Faculty Course Transformation Program and required activities
